Relationship Marketing Using a Unique Greeting Card System

By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Uncategorized

How many times you’ve been out shopping and as you walk back through your door you recall that you should have bought some greeting cards?  Have you ever suddenly remembered that it’s your best friend’s Anniversary in a week’s time and you have not mailed her a greeting card, or even purchased it yet?  How many times have you thought of sending your clients a “thank you” card but the thought of writing 20, 30 or 50 cards is so daunting you never get started?

I know this happens because it used to happen to me.  I’ve also had people tell me in March that they have unwritten cards they should have sent out in November or December of the previous year but it was such an overwhelming task that it got started but was not completed.

Relationship Marketing – Connect with Your Prospects By Giving Them the Information They Want

In continuing my series on the value of Relationship Marketing, I found this article by Connie Ragen Green and published on ezinearticles.com.  In this article Connie discussed the aspect of Relationship Marketing by continuing to build relationships with your marketing through giving them the information they want.  She said it so well, I felt there was no need for me to reinvent the wheel and write a separate post.  Connie is my Mentor and I continue to learn from her and share what I’ve been taught by her with the persons I work with.

Building an online business is very similar to building a brick and mortar business. It is still all about marketing and relationships. If you think about it, this makes perfect sense. When you are looking for a product or service, your attention is focused on those who tell you what they have to offer and then take the time to build a relationship with you. Think about which marketing strategies you will implement on a regular basis and how you will connect more deeply with your prospects.

Relationship Marketing Tips I’ve Learned from Twitter

By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Branding, Business - Entrepreneur, Business - Home-Based Business

When you market offline you get to physically interact with your prospects and customers.  They get to see and read your facial expressions as well as your body language.  When you market online people can base their opinions only on the image or persona that you present to them.  They can individually create their own perception of who you are.

It is not always easy to translate who you really are online and it takes time to refine as well as a measure of skill.

Perhaps like me you may have found Twitter a challenge at the outset.  I’m more reserved, like to observe people before jumping in.  I laugh a lot with close friends, but smile more often than laugh.  I’m detail oriented and like real discussions and conversations but was never good at ‘one-liners.’  So, initially I found it difficult to condense what I wanted to say in 140 characters.   Did you have that challenge?

Another thing that presents a challenge when marketing online is that you can say something with  smile in your heart (more…)

Relationship Marketing: Providing Valuable Information On Your Blog

By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Branding, Business - Entrepreneur, Mindset

Providing valuable content on your blog, the hub of your online activities, is not always easy.  Your goal should always be to provide a valuable source of information so that your readers will want to come back for more.

It’s easy to reason that since you’re not being paid for the information on your blog, it does not have to be of the highest quality.  Thinking that way would be a huge mistake.  Put yourself in your readers’ place.  Would you revisit a website where the information is of little or no value?

It is true that you are in business because we want to make money.  On the other hand, the interesting thing is that when you give your readers really valuable information, you are nurturing and building relationships so that when you have something for sale they will be more willing to purchase products from or through you.  They will have come to appreciate that you have their interests at heart and so you would recommend only products that are worthwhile and will be of  benefit  to them.

The Value of Relationship Marketing and Customer Retention in Your Funnel

By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Business - Entrepreneur, Business - Home-Based Business, Direct Sales, Mindset, Uncategorized

Relationship Marketing is defined on cecausa.com as a “marketing methodology by which a business establishes a relationship with their customers and stakeholders in order to foster customer loyalty and purchases over time.”

This simple, but straightforward definition captures the essence of why relationship marketing has to be an integral part of the strategies implemented by small and micro-businesses owned by soloentrepreneurs.  The goal should be to develop long-term relationships as it is over time that business owners will be able to continue to provide value, and as they provide value the often repeated factor – the know, like, and trust factor – will develop.

One of the essential aspects of relationship marketing is the retention of existing customers.  When you consider that it takes (more…)
