Learn the Secrets to Increase Your Online Visibility Through Your Blog

August 03, 2010 By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Business - Entrepreneur, Business - Home-Based Business, Mindset

In my previous post it was emphasized that a blog is an important part of your online business and is critical to your success.  To many this may sound like an exaggeration, but the success of ordinary entrepreneurs who have seen an increase in their connections and possible JV partners by participating in blog challenges is testimony to the power of building relationships through your blog.
Another important reason for having a blog, even if you have a static website, is that it increases your visibility.  Although I started my first blog in December 2008 I did not understand the concept of increasing my visibility online through my blog.

Earlier this year I participated in Denise Wakeman’s Online Visibility Secrets Course and was amazed at the volume of information she shared over a 26-week period.  One of the things I came to appreciate is that in order for you to become visible online, which basically means that you show-up ‘everywhere;’ is that it takes time, effort and consistent action.  Instead of just repeating the same actions over and over, what this program helps you to do is to build on the momentum you created by the previous actions. In addition, Denise teaches you how to spend short bursts of concentrated effort and time that can reap great benefits.
One of the statements Denise made has stayed with me and this is what I share with others: Your blog is the hub of your online activity. Think about it: You can have a Fan Page on Facebook, belong to a number of groups on LinkedIn with a wonderful Profile, or you could have thousands of friends on Twitter.  You do not, however, own those sites and they could be removed for whatever reason.  On the other hand, your blog, and especially a WordPress hosted blog is your home.  And all your online activities should revolve around this home or hub.
If you are ready to learn the secrets for boosting your online visibility by learning the finer points of blogging for your business, how to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social networking sites for optimal results, as well as how to create visibility with articles, teleseminars, then I encourage you to visit Online Visibility Secrets to learn more.

  3. Hi Jane, I found Denise’s course one of the most beneficial as far as blogging, yet there are many lessons I have yet to implement. However, I’ve stored them safely and am working on a schedule to implement at least two lessons each week that I’ve missed.
