Why a Blog is Important to Your Business

When you have been blogging for a while it's easy to forget that there are persons who are new to online marketing and who may not fully understand how they should set up their blog or even why a blog is important to your business.  Many small business owners have had an online presence for months and may be even years because they do have a brochure (more…)

Local Business Marketing Machine – A Review

May 18, 2011 By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Local Marketing Online

What do you need most to make your business grow and profit?  What do businesses in your local area need most to grow and profit?  They need the same thing – more customers or clients.

If you have been doing business online for any length of time, you recognize that ‘build it and they’ll come’ doesn’t work.  You have to let people know about your beautiful website and products or services by implementing various marketing strategies.

Many small businesses in your local community recognize that in order for them to grow and profit consistently, they too need to expand their business by getting online.  The problem is they either don’t have the time, or don’t know how.

Would you like to be the one to help small businesses in your area increase their visibility by starting an online business?  Or, perhaps you are a small business owner and like to do things yourself but just need some guidance.

The “Local Business Marketing Machine” Course by Jason C. Maxwell is a wonderful place to start.  In this training, Jason breaks topics into seven modules including , How to Get Clients, WordPress SEO, Social Media and an Action Plan.

Jason did what I think of as a brain dump in sharing the strategies and tips that brought him much success in working with small businesses so that every step is actionable.  As I went through each module and made notes, I wanted to get off the recording to implement those steps immediately.

A truly valuable part of the course is where he makes his Resources available to all his students.  So instead of hearing what you need to do and wondering where you can find that website, he created a Resource package that is hyperlinked to free and paid resources…and there are lots of free resources so you can take action immediately.  He also includes his templates that you can just go in and make changes to meet your specifications.  Bonus reports are also part of the training be makes available.

Lastly, I’ve taken numerous courses online and very few marketers offer e-mail follow-up.  Jason does, and that’s priceless.

I highly recommend this training course, which you can learn more about at http://budurl.com/localjcm.

You are also invited to hear me interview Jason during an upcoming teleseminar.  Visit http://teleseminarsforsuccess.info to register for the call.  If you can’t make it you can listen to the replay.

If' you've taken Jason's training or heard his story, we'd love to get your feedback.

Local Marketing Online – Who Controls Your Business Website?

March 23, 2011 By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Local Marketing Online

Does your small business have a website?  If you do have a website, then you are ahead of many other local small businesses in your area.  But how much control do you have over your website? What type of website do you have? Is a static e-commerce site, one on which the content rarely changes?  Do you have the ability to make changes and updates regularly, or do you have to wait for your webmaster?

Having a website is essential for local marketing online, but for this to be effective there are four important points to keep in mind:

1)   Google and the other search engines love blogs because they are content-rich websites and the content is updated frequently.

2)   Management of search engine optimization, or optimizing each page on your website with keywords around your topic requires that you have a search-friendly (more…)
