2 Ways to Improve our Writing Skills and Become a Better Blogger

October 07, 2010 By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Business - Entrepreneur, Business - Home-Based Business, Uncategorized

Savvy internet marketers consider their blog their home on the internet and therefore seek to improve their writing skills to become a better blogger.

Here are two ways that we can implement in our blogging schedule to become a better blogger.

1.  Write Keyword-Rich Posts

There are times you write an article about a topic that answers a question one of your readers asked.  However, it's recommended that you optimize at least post every week.  A quick way to identify keywords and long-tail keyword phrases on your topic is to use Google keyword tool at https://adwords.google.com or wordtracker.com.

2.  Create Variety in Your Posting Style

To create variety for your readers, you may want to write posts of different lengths – some long, some short.  This post is an example that. Most of my posts are between 300 and 500 words so to have a post of  less that 200 words took a lot of effort on my part to condense these points.

I'd love to get your opinion…and I promise not take it badly:)  I want you to enjoy your visit to my website.  Which type of post would you prefer to read on my blog?

1.  Longer, ‘meaty' posts as is my preferred writing style, or

2.  Short, concise posts.

Please leave your comments in the ‘Comment' section.

Why should we care about our customers? It was only one product that they bought from us.  The reality is that the life-line of your business depends heavily on providing excellent customer service. The first interaction with the customer till the purchase of your service or product does not end. It’s not a one shot deal. Many internet marketers drop the ball when in comes to customer service. Do you follow up with your customers after the purchase and see what results they are getting? How often do you keep in touch with your prospects and customers?

Listed below are the 4 reasons why customer service is important.

1) Customers will buy again and again when you provide excellent customer service

2) People want to feel special and so does your customers.

3) Bad customer service- such as not returning calls or poor follow up. This can leave a negative impression and the customer will no longer purchase your product or service.

4) Prospects and customers will refer you to their friends and family if they have a positive buying experience with you.

Always keep your customers in mind by servicing and touching base with them on a regular basis. This will ensure repeat business for the years to come.

Good Selling!

How to Get Clicks on Your Affiliate Link Through the Know Like & Trust Factor

October 02, 2010 By: Yvonne A Jones Category: Branding, Business - Entrepreneur, Business - Home-Based Business, Mindset

Sales has long been regarded as a numbers game because your success depends on selling small amounts to many persons or selling large amounts to a smaller number of people.

It would not be incorrect to conclude that marketing is also a numbers game, and this is especially true of Affiliate Marketing.  You also need large numbers of targeted prospects to see your offers and click on your affiliate link so you can make money online.  How does the Know, Like and Trust factor encourage others to click on your affiliate links?

It has often  been stated  that people do business with those whom they've come to know, like and trust.  So while Affiliate Marketing is great for beginners to internet marketing, you'll become more successful as you build relationships over time.

An effective starting point is with a blog where you provide posts and articles that offer answers to questions and solutions to concerns your readers may have.  Through your posts, your readers will get to know you as your personality and authenticity are reflected in your writing style and quality.

Over time when your readers  see that you're willing to provide valuable content for free, they are more apt to click on your affiliate links and purchase products through you.  This is because they now trust you that you would recommend only what you've personally used and got benefit from, or at the very least know the quality of previous work produced by the marketer you are an affiliate for.

How has the know, like and trust factor proven to be helpful in your online business?  Please share.
